Live and Sewing

Things have been quite slow recently on the sewing front due to work/life things going on therefore lack of inspiration and motivation. In a dream world I would spend my days sewing and drinking tea where my biggest worry would be whether I have ran out of said tea or not....  Anyway, I thought I would do a post on some of the blog posts I have been enjoying this week seen as though I have nothing worthwhile to offer…hopefully they will give me the kick up the bum I need.

One blog that I love to read is A Beautiful Mess. Elsie gives great tips and tutorials on crafting, style and photography - and also tips on successful blogging which I am finding very useful at the minute. I always find her posts inspiring and I love looking at snippets of her life.
I really liked this post on sewing your own mittens out of an old jumper - definitely something to keep in mind for next winter, although it is still freezing so I best get rooting through my wardrobe.

I also found this post on tips for sewing with stretch fabric. When I feel I have advanced enough to that, I will be heading straight back for a refresher. Lovely!

Lastly, check out these cross stitch shoes from ModCloth that are currently doing the rounds on the crafty blogs.  All I have to say is...wow.

Hopefully this weekend I will get down and dirty with some sewing. Wild eh?
